Crime among young boys is a growing concern in many communities. At Boys Aid Network, we recognized this issue and launched the Boys Against Crime Campaign to educate boys and the public on the dangers of criminal activities and provide legal assistance to those in need.
The Campaign’s Impact:
Since its inception in 2022, the campaign has reached over 3,000 boys and girls in secondary schools across Ibadan, Nigeria. Through interactive sessions, storytelling, and legal education, we’ve empowered young people to make better choices and resist peer pressure.
Key Focus Areas:
- Crime Prevention: Teaching boys about the consequences of criminal activities and how to avoid them.
- Legal Awareness: Educating boys on their rights and the legal penalties for criminal behavior.
- Community Engagement: Encouraging parents, teachers, and community leaders to play an active role in crime prevention.
Success Story:
One of our participants, Tunde, shared how the campaign changed his perspective:
“I used to think crime was the only way to survive, but now I know there are better options. I’m focused on my education and future.”
